Melville Beach, WA, AU

PAT 115,7.8 OD8,39 Zulu

Was an interesting day which had the lot.Surprised

1 )A giant Marquee that this family decided would be great to put up on the grass where everyone rigs, reducing the rigging area considerably and sprawling their crap everywhere.

2) Bring out your dead or dying, there was some vintage equipment out on the water that, well looked dangerous(must have been a curbside collection close by).

3) Col had an experience with a Merman, well close, some bloke deciding it was a great idea to go snorkeling in the middle of the river pretending to be a mobile gybe marker,he didn't take too kindly to Col's suggestion of possible decapitation should a fin hit him.

Anyway I got to try out the new OD R8 for a full session and have to say it's a great sail, rotation is a dream.

Very happy with it and had an enjoyable sail with some good entertainment. Cool

OD6.2, XFire102, MUFDelat22. Melville. Gusty, Didn't quite fulfill its promise, at least whilst I was there, but good fun. Yes, all the wackos were out today - tents, dogs, boats, southsiders, me.......Top speed on starboard tack, just to mix it up a little!

7.0 Reflex 7; X-F 105; Choco WS 30 + Vector Delta 27....Melville

Gusty as usual, but fun. First time I've used the delta on this board...went well. Hard to get a decent NM due to lots of holes...best one had 2 gybes.

Plenty out including a number of "holiday once-a-year-ers"

Melville Beach, WA, AU Wasnt expecting much, but a 31 ! never in the right place at the right time to score a gust and I should have rigged the 7.0.

Tried Damo's OD 7.8. Butter smooth rotation and comes alive off the wind also tried his Zulu 40. Very good upwind, too much power for the conditions.  I just need him to buy a 38 so I can try it. lol.

A few beve's on the beach afterwards wit the crew. Lifes good !

6M T4 & 94 lt Cross FWW

It always takes me a couple of runs to get comfyEmbarassed

You know tighten the harness & lifejacket, check all the stuff is in the right positionWink

Just got it all sorted today & then stood on a crab that tried to nip off my big toe (I won)Smile

Fun sail, with the usual entertainment. Best gybe out the back which disappointed me cause I thought I did a pretty good one inside Undecided

Tomorrow maybe??

RRD Firestorm 101L with 6.5 T-bird & 30 Vector Weedy

Changed up to the 7.0M T-bird after a few frustrating runs & things improved, slightlyFrown

Was not feeling the love today, maybe too many numpties about spoiling the vibeLaughing

We had a full house today, BCF, boats, campers & fishymans, you name it, they were thereSurprised

Glad I didn't drive all the way to Cervantes as I wasn't in he right space today.

Hopefully tomorrow is a better day Laughing

I also found the Rangers phone number so will sort that shiz tomorrow Surprised

Cervantes, Pat 115 hollow, RRD 108, R8 7.0 , NCX 6.5. Awesome first day, wind built really quick. Best speeds etc were done early on on the Patrik and 7.0 before conditions got worse. Hightide, strong winds ( 25 to 30 ) mega cross / confused chop, 4 races was enough today. :) Changed to the NCX after lunch to make things a bit easier.
