MAN........that felt good, not much but something....

i just went tank with the 7.9,   I used a new 20delta XT, WOW!!!!, Gripped really well for that combo, went through the weed well, all and all definately felt like a major improvement on the original deltas.....

Thanks Gareth, nice to see you and everyone else as well

HSM 8.0 JP 122L 21Delta

Fun session that had me overpowered, underpowered and just right so it had a bit of everything but boy the water was flat and shallow.

The 21 Delta let go a few times but nothing serious, tried to demo a 22 XT but Gareth could not get it to fit the box after sanding it for more than a few minutes, sorry Gareth.

Sailed with Johnny, Sue and Gareth briefly. Best sail for two weeks......only sail in 2 weeks!

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Missed it again Frown did not think it was going to happen so when it did by the time I rigged up it was starting to drop off. I should have been rigged and ready.

At least the others got a sail.

Johnny...great to hear the Delta XT was working for you.

Wayno.....I did not think it was going to happen so I did not rig up and buy the time I realised it was happening by the time I rigged it was dropping out Frown no worries hopefully with a bit more sanding we can get the Delta XT fin to fit and you can try it out.

Hey......thanks Micky!!!! Your a fricken legend mate

Dean, hows it going?

that was a 20 delta XT, the new sort, i use a 22 delta, or 24 delta with the 7.9, the 22 lets go heaps and the 24 is a big bitch, slow at my weight...

my falcon is 69w, 113l,,,,, today was everything from 5 to 18 kts, flat, the new 20 delta XT definately gripped a lot better, speed was ok, the size sail was the limiting factor when it mattered today, it was super full, fin never looked like letting go, no tugs either through the thick stuff powered up...

all in all much better than a normal delta,,,,,negatives, doesnt shed weed well when off the plain, and felt a little dragger through gypes

Ive used them all, the orginal deltas are probably the fastest deeper off the wind, kestralBP, definately grip well, and better drive more 30/40 degrees off the wind but felt slower then a delta, but more grip and lift...

the new delta feels good, gripped very well, was much easier to correct than a kestral, felt fast with good grip,,, ive only had one session on the new delta, but it worked well with a much smaller fin then then what i would use with  my normal deltas, that never really work that well for an overall sess with a powered up 7.9......

For slalom, faast freeriding the new deltasXT or kestrals are better than deltas, for speed with smaller ones, The orginal deltas are still pretty good........

anywhooooooo, i used a new 20 delta xt today, on a 69wide board, 7.9, worked very well.....i was surpriesed as bigger deltas have suxed with the 7.9 a bit....
