Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Fun little session at the "Hollywood" end of town...where they run on Ed time and your wives are less than safe if not prepared Tongue out. Got the invite to join Ed on his home bowling green, to which he was fashionably late, again. Solid 20 knots for most of the arvo - great to be powered up.

Had Ben, Fred, Ian and Ed (last only because thats when he turned up!!) to play with. Caught the incoming tide again and the first of it threw up som ereal nasty cross swell out wide, which made for "eyes wide open" runs. As the tide progressed though, it really didi turn into a rolling swell which wasnt to bad to navigate.

Loving the CA. I remember my first ever sail on her at Port, and going home thing "if this doesnt get better, its going to the bin"....Now, its just a pleasure to ride. Had no issues all weekend, she just did as she was told. Each ride, I just fall a little bit more in love with her and today was perfect weather for her.

Great arvo out with the lads - Used CA SL108, 6.5 T4, 40 Sting 11. and, to top it off, got home and Love Child No2 had washed and vacuumed my car Laughing.

Great sail at port with Billy,Ian,Ben,Mark,Andrew,Simme and Eddy who did make an appearence.

Great to Ian out again and playing hard!!Cool

Wind was better than yesterday and there were a few 'flatish' spots out wide.

The low tide at the start of the session made for a long walk the the wind made it all worth while.

Great afternoon and great company....even the bas....t Billy who pipped me again....this is starting to become a habbit.!!!

Port Douglas, QLD, AU.  First sail since early July, was slightly over rigged for the conditions , but had a great sail all the same.  great turnout at 4 mile beach of 7 sailers from the FNQ Mob, even if we couldnt syncronise our start times.  Anyhow it was good to be sailing with friends again.

Futura 90, Aerotech 6.0, and a 26 no name no good fin.

Exocet 135 Severne Convert 6.7 Black Project 47.5

Fun sail off 4 Mile with Ian, Billy, Freddo, Mark, Andrew, Simme and Ed who turned up a little later on.

White Caps and Waggy Tails today!!  Great to see Ian back out on the water after a few months off (many thanks for letting me take your old Exocet board home for a trial run hopefully sometime soon!- maybe just maybe it will become my small board...)

Everyone looked to be enjoying themselves with plenty of wind about- bit on the rough side at the beginning but smoothed out a little as the tide came in.  Would have racked up some more distance today, but forgot to turn the bloody watch on for the first few runs!

Was nice to meet Simme today.

Now time to take the "Windsurfing Widow" out for some food and a flick... Bloody starving!

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

A nice sail at Port Douglas - solid breeze so rigged 6.5m sail - arrived just as the Cairns boys were packing up = great to see Ian come down from the mountains - and Freddy, Mark, Billy, Ben and my mate Ed.  Nothing special in the way of PB's but great time on water.  Kept sailing till I started falling off.  Hopefully will sneak out for a sail tomorrow afternoon - it's that time of year when you have to make the most of every opportunity.  A Big Thanks to Ed Wheatleys Marine Enginering Sevices = for setting up my alloy boom with an adjustable outhaul, bolted three pulleys and just fantastic.  Life is Good.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU Yer wasn't very  organised today got down beach late, had to coach my brother for awhile as he has still got his 'trainer wheels' on then i had to take my dad for a beach walk..Got one quick run in with Fast Freddie then all the boys packed up and when home .Not sure if it was something i said..Or there 'Mums wanted them home by dark'...Andrew was still out playing and Simmi was out on her wave gear..I managed to get back out just before sun down tide was coming in hard and sea was getting rather lumpy, Had a good fun blast in 20kts of breeze on 97lt Isonic 38cm fin and trashed 6.6mNorth rig.Was thinking of changing to a smaller go fast fin but it was to late in the day and  it required to much effort  ..Had to keep the 'peddle to the medal'till dark just to clock up a few kms...Think everyone when home shagged but happy... Was good to see the boys all in good spirits ..Guess it was worth rigging up for..Cheers Ed.....

Yer thanks Freddie. You always seem to nail me on the start line. Then I have to go as hard as I can for3 kms to try and catch you. We turn around and I have to do it all over again. Your rig is very afficent, and I would be much happier if it was a bit slower. Not that happy with the way Billy has got his Carbon Art dialed in at the moment either, looks like its gunna be another serious thret . You and Billy are both on the hit list.🎯👍😝.. All in the name of fun. 👻
