Elmo (31413km): JP HF 135L, RSR E6 6.4m, RS Flight AL Fun(???????) session with Stroppo at Tom's, finally got to a session nice and early for a change. Wind didn't look all that strong apart from some small white caps out in the middle, so I rigged the 7.0 which seemed like a good idea at the time but between the time I rigged and the time I hit the water a 15 knot gale had blown in. 1st run out my arse was handed to me on a plate, then a platter, then a pancake skillett operated by an expert, with that I decided the 7.0 was a tad to large so I went back in to change where the bitch had her whip out and was using me for som practice. Changed down to the 6.4m sail put some shim in the rear foil to control the lift and ventured back out agan, had a bit much down haul in the sail making it a bit twtchy but definately more user freindly that the 7m Back to shore for another adjustment and it was a bit better until the clouds rolled in and a cyclone rolled in blowing in Stroppo's words 20knots, farkame, I was sailing unhooked trying to keep the board level but it just kept getting higher and higher till the inevitable breach which lead to the inevitable touch down and inevitable launch and thus another mouthfull of shit was eaten (just as well I didn't eat lunch today). The run back wasn't much better, decided to flag it after that. New PB today 21 on the dial Great fun, the Stroppy fella was killing it out there | ||||||||||||||||||

Decrepit (54500km): AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, Smoooooooooooooooooth fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a hell of a lot of it, but it was fun leading slugger into a yellow/green field of smooth, he seemed a bit nervous of it prior to that. Apart for the end bit, wind was very close to willyweather forecast, 12 to 15kts, slowly dropping off. So rigged the 6.6 and pluged the 21cm 55 deg into the 53cm board. Under powered at times, but up till the last runs spent most of the time planing. Explored the smoooth weed banks, small section around the gybe markers, and another small patch close to boundary Island, but out as far as the Island but well East, there is a long stretch, unfortunately by the time I got out there the wind was dropping, so it was mainly a very slow explore. By the time I joined slugger back at the cars, (sorry Simon, yours is hardly a car), wind had just about dropped out. After I downrigged it did the predictable but unforecaste thing and kicked in at 18 to 22kts. Here's my tracks, the outer tracks follow the outer bank, only slow because there was little wind.
