Marine Parade, Southport, QLD, AU

F2 Vento, Choco 36 and Ezzy Lion 6.5.   Nice little NNE 'ster but getting lumpier and lumpier as the sandbanks went under. Lovely water temperature ( Firie would be au naturel, no risk), hardly a cloud in the sky and all this positivity and tranquility  accompanied by a soothing background track of turkeys gobbling. On the houseboat close to our launch spot. The sole gobbler is, as you would expect, kept on the outside of the houseboat whereas the hens are in a fenced area on the top storey and every time a kiter goes near them they go ballistic.....presumably the kite shadow indicates a superhawk in the vicinity. All quite normal for the Gold Coast and we've got silly season just around the corner! Watch this space.

Just call me Frankenstein Face from now on. When you see me you'll notice half my face is paralysed, just been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, but better than a stroke, which the CT scan showed was all clear, predominantly coz there was no brain found inside my skull, that explains a few thingsEmbarassed.  But I'll take Bell's Palsy over a stroke anyday.  But please keep small children away from me as they could be traumatised at the sight of meEmbarassed.

Talk about windsurfing being the best therapy

Another grovel. Everyone else was too clever to bother so I rigged all on my own .Just as I was considering reviewing my under arm deoderant as an explanation of my loneliness Joe rocked up.He was also silly enough to rig . We hit the water soon after and I was given a lesson in gear selection and light wind technique by one of the masters . Never the less it was time on the water and helps to build sailing fitness.

Strangely enjoyable

NP RSR E6 6.4m And NP foil

Nice to actually do some work today and get out without having to chase through all the crap.

Tried a different launch spot today as Tom's is almost straight offshore with a SW, so went a bit nth and lauched from Loton Street, nice rigging area helpfull march flies big enough to carry the gear out for me. Only a 50 m wade out till foil depth.

Unfortunately tonight was GAF mothing and then 100m of Oh Mummy wind got a few nice short flights which promptly endded with me being shot down by the bullets.

First session foiling wearing clown shoes whilst my foot heals, a bit discinserting worrying about the booties when trying to fly straight.

Still worth while going out and nice to get on the water.

So why didn't the hens get excited.....?   It's an on-going issue that has dogged me for many years.  Maybe I need kiter kit.

Congrats to the Mandurah Mob on a Spring Cup well done.....brilliant!

Hards with Bells Palsy? I don't think so. More likely it's ham-fisted Botox injections to reduce the drag on all those wrinkles. Foot in mouth Laughing

Dont worry I have been working on fillers myself. With the fillet on the fin seeming to work wonders, I decided to place a fillet between my massive pectoralis muscles and my diminutive waist. I went for the bulge design. More experiments needed to confirm success....Laughing
