Melville Beach, WA, AU The big gear again. LE40 fin.

I think I am getting better and better at planing in less and less wind. I thought about Leighton today but it didn't look as though they were getting any more wind there than at Melville. I alsoconsidered practicing helitacks in the light wind, but I decided to work more on gybes, my number 1 priority.

Still making progress with the gybes. It is hard to see how I can feel like I am making progress at each session without having nailed the goal yet, but I am getting there. The gybe shape is looking a lot better today, and one of the transitions today felt just perfect.

Tacks continue to improve also.

It was good to catch up with others on the beach afterwards for a chat on a beautiful summery evening.

Started off very marginal but picked up a little but not much over 15 knots. Boz did well on the 6.3 and even had a go on the foil! Good team turnout with JJ and Jake later in the day.

Light wind sail with the guys at Leighton, 6.3 Race sail on the 116 Tabou in 10-15 kn a bit of floating around until the wind kicked in at 13kn but super impressed with the bottom end of the 18 KAR for such a fickle day. Even hopped on JJ's foil it really is differant in how you look at sailing, both foilers where having a blast in the light conditions.
