sboardcrazy (24363km): 10-20kts E Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU 6.2m OD - RS4 ( 111ltre) - 36cm drake pointer then RS2 ( 90ltre) - 33cm select pointer Fun! Fun! Got there first and rigged the 7m but Jeff suggested better with a 6.2m ( think he wanted to be sure he'd beat me.. ). First 1.30 off the plane a lot but good in the gusts. A bit patchy. Still I did want a 'nice ' sail..Could have done with the 6.6m. Then it kicked in better and got good. Changed to the RS 2 for a few runs. The first time I've used it with a pointer and wow it was fun! After years of using weedies i'm just starting to use pointers and I love them! Spun out a few times with the larger kit ( maybe a bit of weed?). Didn't really bear off much and stats are lousy but boy I enjopyed it. I'm starting to really enjoy chop. Smaller over there probably c 1' ( getting a few 11/2' at the end). I could rest over the other side which was good. Heart went well. Talking to someonewho said MG helped them. I usually take it but I've been off it the last few months so I might restart and see if that helps. Got good just as I had to leave.. Jeff , Andrew and me..

Hugh (11029km): nice arvo around 20 knots cruising around weed not to bad either | ||||||||||||||||||
James Farley (12642km): Coal Point, NSW, AU Exocet RS4, TR8 7.0, Vmax 41 - Wind ENE 15-20 knots Nice to get back to Coalie on slalom gear and sail with Tony and Hugh, then Andy later. Water was beautiful and not much weed, only had to clear fin once. Wind picked up towards the end and was well powered. |
