Ratz  stretch were out giving it a good go

JP HF NP RSRE7 7.0m, NP AL F foil

Wind was all over the place with some strong extended gusts (for the foil) and some glassy bits, so I spent most of the time tuning for the stronger bits, Got some nice flights and a couple of dismunts.

Sail testing for Avalon Sails, Testing the 6.6m Proto Slalom Race, Decrepit and I were testing for Bugsy, but we didnt rig it correctly, and very gusty conditions, so probably inappropriate to comment.  Just noice to get wet, good to see Sammy flying around, I think he's slowly getting his Mojo back, and watch out when he gets his new Custom Board  and good to see Greggo getting more confident and sailing over to Point Grey

 Drifting in the weed, and got wet,         first hour was a bit light, folowing hour wasnt much better.

Fun blat on the only flat water kit i have these days. really enjoyed it, some good gusts that kept me on my toes. Great to catch up and sail with ratz and the post sail beer tasted good.

Needed to get wet, lot of west in it, wind never came to forecast, ok session with Mike and Joe

a quick blast in the swamp after having a k bay formula session with bender.

used my m 137 with a 33 tribal ws and a 7.8 severne overdrive.

Yep, all my fault. Started off wind was very light, so rigged the sail the same as yesterday. Sail felt good until the wind picked up, so added a bit more dpwnhaul and a bit more outhaul, that felt OK in the gusts. Got my two best speeds with this setting, bvut there was no omph in the lulls.

Played around with it onshore, and it seems we should have given it a bit more downhaul and left the outhaul where it was. But by then the wind had virtually gone. So next time maybe we'll get it right, or Bugs will come down and show us what to do.

Edit late Thurs morning.

Bugs came round for a look and realised that when rehacking the old 6.6 he'd left too much shape in the back of the sail between the boom and tack. So that's now back in the loft to get sorted
