Decrepit (54500km):
2292 days ago 3rd test of the Avi 6.6 rehack. Bug's texted me it was ready to try, so took it to Fangys.

Toby was out in the middle floating home in a 5kt easterly. The came in 2hrs earlier at Avalon, so I got the binocs out to check Liptons. Yep, plenty of whitecaps and a kiter out. But before I started the drive there decided to wait and have a chat to Toby. By the time he'd hit the shore and started to separate his rig, the breeze had traveled the width of the estuary and was just about at Toby's feet. I yelled to him that he'd given up too early, so he turned around to see the breeze 50m away. I measured 15kt ave 18kt gusts, whixh is exactly the wind range I needed to check the latest mods. So joined Toby out at the end of Creery Island, and had some great runs in the smoooth.
Sail felt a lot better, needed a cm or so of outhaul to feel light and effortless, neutral out felt faster down wind, but numbers don't really show that.
2nd fastest run by 0.1 of a knot was on the last run close to John St. This run felt good, but not as fast as several others.
So I think next thing is for somebody heavier to use it in stronger winds, any volunteers?
