Tuesday night cruise. I used to be able to duck gybe so thought tonight would be a good time to try and relearn this skill. I bore away over a nice flat spot moved my back hand down the boom and let go with the front hand resulting in the tip of the sail hitting the water and me going headfirst into the estury :)  Im still trying to get the last of the sand from my ears and the mud from up my nose....

Well my day was down Margaret River with my beloved and I can say the wind was howling down there mid morning.

Great time at the Eagles Heritage.

Fooded to death at the Settlers in Marg's

Then a visit to the Aravina Estate winery for the car and surf collection

Not al that many cars (although there was a stunning Shelby Mach 1 Mustang) but a very nice collection of race posters.

The Surf collection was excelent with a lot of old photos of the surfing pioneers and other local identities as well as a nice aray of boards. Would thouroughly recomend it for anyone interested in surfing.

A great day, no sailing, maybe tomorow, the surface wind chart looks good and if it's lying the pink bits can be applied to the board for more chaos and mayhem

I used to do them as well but same results as you with big sails John. No problem with a 5.0 and smaller.

I don't think the roach on the foot of a race sail is conducive to easy duckgibes...
