Lilacs *bd W52 TR17 6.3 FF20

Drove down from work hitched up and down to Harding road. Not much water and Morts, Sammy and Decrep did not sem to be able to use much of the bay as he water was so low feeling unsure whether to bother I hit the water at 530.

It was brilliant fun, The FangyFin again did its thing so well, the TR rotates so much better after a bit oc cam adjustment. The alphas felt great. 5x alpha of 24.743 :-) All these gybes prox 34m or less. will not focus on getting so tight tomorrow..

Great fun arvo, great to be back at Lilacs, but I was captain slow today. Think my fin was too big.

Not much wind or water when we arrived. I wanted to test out the long awaited 23cm 40-60 deg weedy, but Morts advised that it would be a mega walk from lilacs before I could launch, and the weed was thick and grabby at the gybe points.

So went with the filleted 20cm@55deg, really wanted to use the 19cm version but suspect I've left it behind.

Used the 48cm board and 6.2 koncept, was well powered but couldn't get any speed.

Hit a weedburg coming out of a gybe in the middle of my hr attempt, so didn't expect anything great.

hopefully tomorrow will have more wind and more water so I can try something different.

Same same... Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + FF20

Fun sail with Mike, Sammy, Shane & Steve.

Very low tide so kept out of the weeds at the Town end for the most part. Don't tell the others but I did a sneaky by starting the hour up at the NM start point & doing a couple of legs back down Wink

It was fun out there mike. I think the wind was good when i was out and got better towards the end. Had a ball doing alphas between lilacs and Harding Road. Forecast looking promising. Hope we get some water.

Nice warm up session guys, some massive numbers required tomorrow, hope you've got enough of Dots' special fruit cake to go round Mike. Have another great day, wish I was there.

Hey Fangy, I tested out your FF 24 in the chop in the middle of the river in that gusty easterly today. It worked a treat. It started to let go only once but was easy to rein in. It went upwind really well. Not quite enough lift in the 8 knot lulls, but otherwise very comfy, even going over the sizaeble chop.

Thanks Anita :-) I noticed from your tracks that you ended up on a course a little too far uphill toward the Narrows 👍😀

Those Fangy 20s certainly work!

Morts and Evets were both killing me today, don't know how much of that is down to the fins or the sailors.
