15-24kts SE Lake George, SA, AU

5.7m OD - 87 ltre isonic - 38 BP 50 weedspeeed

5.7m OD - 80ltre isonic - 23 gun weedie

Todays aim was to get there eralier for a less ballaistic sail and maybe try for an hour..I'm surprised itt's as good as ity is as it included going too shallow 2 x and walking the board out + 2 failed gybes at the end when I was buggered. The wind direction pushed you out intto the çhop'so there were 10'- 1'rollers in the middle of each run..

Frothie & I started about 10.30. I went with the small board and it was nicely powered in the gusts but there were 300m lulls so I put the 87ltre on...didn'tt fix the lulls..Undecided Decided to come in and wait for it to come in..We didn't have to wait long..On the first run I went in too far and had a long walk out..

I just didn't feel comfortable today. I was so tired i was sailing like a sack of spuds and the harness lines just didn't feel right..I fiddled around but just gave up and put it down to jetlag..zzz

I felt I was working all the time just to keep my position but it felt good at times. mmm..I think given good conditions I can aim for a 22kt hr...

Just Froth & I then Rod and a few others ..Glynn , Daffy etc all came after.

I ended up doing a bearaway to 5 mile and walking back to the car thinking I was finished but then Daffy suggested resting and trying for a 2 sec later..drove  slowly back to the launch..( I took that distance off the results ).

It built too quickly and I really needed the 50ltre board ( that I don't have) so I gave it a miss..Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well done in the PB Hour Sue. Cool

You have at least another knot in you if you don't run aground and stop. Tongue out

Very impressive hour, Sue. That will have you moving up the rankings, and well deserved - you are a much better sailor than you give yourself credit for. You will be challenging Kaleb soon! You did a better hour than Daffy today...

Imagine what it could have been without the mishaps... next week...
