Awesome Sunday southerly at Valo with Russ, Paul, and Tom. 20-24kts and lumpy as hell. Spent an hour down in Croudace Bay and had some really good runs across to Booragul and back. Swell was a lot more manageable down there. Not quite as peaky. Spotted my shark again over the Valo "tank traps". Bit disappointed with the 2 sec. Just over a 1kt differential with the 5x10 is poor. I just seem to have lost the ability to pull out a decent peak. Not through lack of trying!

Impressive tracks Jeff. Any day you get over 30kts in LM is a good one! So where does the shark hang out ?

Thanks, Sue. The tank traps are about halfway over to Toronto. I am told it was a bit of dumping ground during the sixties. The artificial reef attracts fish and is reportedly the best Jewie spot on the lake. I have fished it in the past and hooked some big slow moving fish that "broke me off". I guess that is why the sharks like it. Plenty of food. Generally when I see them, its there. I thought it was two sharks today but a second look revealed one. (Its tail fin was big- shark size around 2M) They are always floating near the surface, tracking dinner. I've almost hit them on two occasions and they have not batted an eyelid.
