Its not every Monday the chance comes along to windsurf 100ks in glassy flat water with weed to just below surface in some places, with patches of vivid green water with chalky white mud below, and then patches of round weed balls like a manicured garden. I wore sunnies today and blown away by all the fin tracks through the weed, some of them look like a 6 inch wide fin has blasted out a channel. Was out all afternoon, started on the 97l and 24 fin, but was getting some drag in the thick weed beds in front of launch area, so changed to the keef carbon fillet, custom designed for these conditions. It tracked up wind really well,  and great in the thick weed. Unfortunately it was just a bit too small for the 97l, so will try again tomorrow on the 80l if the stronger wind comes through. Last couple of hours swapped to the 80l board, and stayed out til the wind dropped off. A great day at LG, with more wind, more sailors, and hopefully still more to come tomorrow.
