sboardcrazy (24363km): patchy 5-15kts E Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU 7.5m Severne Gt turbo- RS4 - 38 makani weedy Not as good as other recent sessions. You can see how patchy it was by my wobbly tracks.. The few good gusts I got often had me spinning out..That fin worked great in my 115ltre freemove with it's pintail but I think I need a larger one for the bulkier RS4. I felt like I spent all my time just trying to stay above my starting point. This got pretty boring and when the yacht race started I called it a day. I was jealous of Lyd's and Jeff disappearing downwind without a care.. I'll have to research a better fin that I can trust to not spinout and that will get me upwind better..Oh well I cracked 11,00kms.. Lyd's , Jeff and another guy..

Andrew Haigh (48951km): Coal Point, NSW, AU NE 15-18 kts Caveman 75, 7.0 then 6.6 then 5.0, Pink fin Finally some proper wind. Started on 7.0 but way overpowered, changed down to old 6.6 retro, but by this stage that was already too much. Next smallest non race sail was a 5.0 wave sail. Thought this would be too small, but it turned out to be spot on. Great sess, at last I was able to cruise around the lake and pop it up on the foil whenever I wanted. Fun bouncing along the tops of the waves with quiet a few extended flights. The small sail was just so easy to move around it made controlling the foil so much easier. This is the first session I actually enjoyed. Had a quick blast on Hughs new custom CA and 7.8 sail which of course gave me the top speeds Foil speeds 2 Sec 18.447 NM 13.972 | ||||||||||||||||||
Tibor (17493km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU A not too bad arvo at peel st Foiling with Mike Osborne. nowdays a lot of experimenting still of course with different boards for the foils. We already know that ther wider the board the easier it is to foil on. Also the bigger boards can take larger sails ifyou need it.A lo/t more tolearn but l am enjoying the learning curve! |
