Lake George solo...

It was a long day with a lot of walking.  I had few scary spinouts on the choppy speed run which kept me on my toes. It was a fun day and good prep for tomorrow which will be stronger but west.

Lake George - Northerly 15-30+

Creeper 48 - Avanti M1 6.1  - Vector weed speed 24

Great work Tim. Stoked you could get some speed up on that glorious flat water!!

All this walking you speak of..? Is that because you're on a speed board? Float is your friend at LG!

Cheers Carl & Chris,

With the wind angle I could run port or starboard but both had lots of those chop pools where there were clearings in the weed.  I went deep into the pocket at 5-mile hoping gusts and flat water would line up and would then walk back 50m or so to the clearing near 5-mile to launch.  The turbulent water was sending silt from the clearings downwind and so weed started looking like clear patches meaning a few longer walks. The Creeper 58 would have been a good option but it is not quite finished...not long now!

Nice Tim. Must be a great feeling doing over 40 with your own hand made boards and fins,

Sure is Jamie, and I know it was last, unlike a snake board!

Sailing Self Sufficiency...well from the mast base down at least!
