Dusk sail, seas were huge, but the front bar was perfectly flat. About to head back thinking its getting pretty late when i spotted someone dragging across the sand bars from Point Smythe area like they had just been ship wrecked. I pulled up, went over and sure enough the poor guy had been drifting in the ocean for hours after having lost his jetski earlier in the arvo. The current was massive, so I dragged him back to the boat ramp - he was so grateful to be alive!! Unfortunately his only car key was in the jetski, phone wet. Top bloke, spent the next 24 hours with him and yes, blessed to still be alive. Stayed the night. Spent the day trying to get a key. I sailed back over in the morning, walked the beach, found the ski washed up and full of water. Smithy lauched his ski and the three of us mounted a recovery mission. It worked. All's well.
