fangy (22667km): I knew Swindy was busy training for his new job as a Very Plain Clothes Detective in the Lingerie section of David Jones, so I thought I would sneak down for a plod around with Pat Malone. Bugger all wind but quite an enjoyable sail. Post more later. Coodanup, WA, AU

Bully boy fat Basil (4776km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Desperation sail at Liptons. For the first time I managed to rig my KA Koncept 6.6 without having the pop past the head of the sail. YEE HAAR.Not only that but managed to set it the best yet. It being easter hughie was at his religous best. Never the less as soon as I hit the water a gust put me on the plane. Much better than I expected so a most enjoyable sail.
Jonski (6717km): Coodanup, WA, AU, 110 Isonic, Overdrive 7.5, FF24
Not much wind, Not much water and even the crabs have packed up and gone. feel better for having got out but will need to start considering safety bay for some more wind at this time of the year.
Elmo (31413km): JP HF 135, NP RSR E7 7.0m, NP RSX MWS I don't know how it was everywhere else, but it was far Ken windy at Novara after 5, could have quite easily been on the slapper tonight, but I wasn't, so how to best describe my session... listen and read on Followed Stropp's advise and rigged the 7 rather than the 7.8, Thank you Stroppo. thinking that the wind would follow the same pattern as the last couple of nights and drop of quite quickly, doesn't Huey just love it when you try second guessing him? By the time I got out to the end of the sand bar Stropp had been flying around seeminly in control but with the back of his sail pushed right out. He can back to the sandbar with a look of terror giving the universal freckle clenching hand gesture, oh dear, this does not bode well, Stropp's words were along the lines of it being Ken scarey and the winds a fair bit stronger about 100m further out, bloody Ken's getting about a bit today the evil little basket. So I take of and promptly scoop up a weed ball, I fool hardedly cleared this of the foil and tried again, unfortunately the foil worked perfectly as a weapon of my imminent and regular destruction. Ok my first run, really wasn't all that bad, no crashes (apart from the one I used as an excuse to turn around), a bit of clenching but I don't see what Stropp's on about, turn around, water start (this is not a good thing to be able to do when foiling) get going, what's "Stropp's problem" I think to myself, no sooner had that thought been passed between my two remaining working brain cells then there's a sudden leap in the air and an Elmo sized dent in the water. Another water start back up on the foil, ok it's getting a bit hairy, whoops another dent, water start, now got a piece of coal wedged up my freckle and doing my best to make a diamond I'm clenching that hard, whopps another dent. Ok Stropp, I believe you now. Decide to shift the mast foot forward about 20mm to try and keep the nose of the board down, quick chat with the Stroppy fella and we venture once more into the breach, settings are a bit better the front of the board doesn't want to take a quick visit the ISS, only trouble is, the board wants to now go fast, I'm reeling Stropp in, this is not good, I'm starting to wonder how much a brown diamond will fetch, I somehow managed to regain control and actually did a Nm, even more amazing I nailed my gybe at the end, I didn't foil through it but managed to foil out of it, let out a Woo hoo for Elmo kiddies!!! On the way back, showing constant improvement, I managed 4 Elmo sized dents in the water (given I had more oportunity with the longer run). OK, I thunks to myself when safely back on the sand bar, how the fark are we going to control this wee beastie, a bit more mast foot forward and lower the boom should do it. Stroop came back and said If you go over to Claudesville the wind gets a bit lighter, I foolishly give it a go again, 500m later, I feel like Batmans done a number on me with a "Ker pow" and "Ker Splatt". Now a wiser person would have realised the error of their wars long ago, for a Red fury wonder it takes a few more smacks around the head to get the point accross, so I decide to tuck my tail between my legs (to catch the diamond) and turn for home. Bugger, let's just make one more dent in that water. In reality the session wasn't as bad as what it sounds, the new foil handles the gusts better and I've got to learn how to deal with the more enthusiastic conditions and I'll be honest with myself I was fairly happy with how I went. Next time I'll rig a touch smaller, a 5.8 might have been a wiser option. All up 12 dents for 8.8km possibly a new record and an explanation for the negative storm surge. Some PB's for the foil. Goods times Of to the jewelers Saturday to see if anyone wants a brown diamond. 11 sessions so far this month Woo hoo
