Lilace M91SP TR16 7.0 JP31 weed

It was marginal and I thought I would be better with the bigger fin. That just got stuck in the weed a lot of the time. Certainly could not have gone further north or much further south as fin was well and truly sticking in the weed. mayb I should try kiting Surprised. Not really, the idea of kiting is not to bad, the investment of time and money means it is a non starter for me. However today it would have been better.

But I think I learn every time  I am on the water, today I learnt that with a mid leve tide the 31 is too long for marginal winds and that GE appears to have a new image of the harbour.

Good to be on the water no matter what the numbers show.

My TR16 7.0 now rotates perfectly, it is a really well made sail and sets very nicely on the Maui mast. I think it is going to last a long time, unlike the previous sails I was using. I know some say the TR16 and TR17s are heavy, and they may be compared to other sails, however if you are ever considering them I would suggest you look at my distance pb. It was using the the TR17 6.3. I had to stop as I ran out of daylight rather than fatigue due to the sail. I'm really happy I swapped to Maui sails.

Another surprisingly good sail. Light winds but was planing as soon as I bore off.

Liptons is a great location. Lots of friendly teabaggers and no pesky Finns
