Gustville

Well, that was unexpected, I had resigned myself to no wind. Today one of those days you really want to give foiling a try, they look fantastic. A take what you can get type of sail, inconsistent and a bit lumpy but good to get some sun and see a few friendly faces.

Forecast fail today. Dont think anyone expected to get out and i reckon that was one of my better days foiling.

I was fairly over powered early on then decided to put the small wing on. Best decision as the small wing with the race sail was slick.

Another brilliant Day!

A bit of an unexpected sail. Just missed out on the best wind of the day so spent most of the time trying to stay upwind and planing.

I missed the best of it and arrived as most were coming in (work again) but there was the odd planing patch and it was a bit of fresh air and excercise, and better than being at work.

Last Saturday was much more fun, but I still have the bruise to remember it by.

Sue, I can't remember exactly but I fell off during a gybe and landed on my arm on the boom. This is why I do not like gybing. I only hurt myself gybing. Not doing anything else. It hurt a lot at the time but nothing was broken and it didn't hurt to move, only to touch around that spot. It is not so good now though. I am getting increasing pain in the forearm and I am afraid there might be some entrapment of a nerve. I am scheduled for am MRI scan on Tuesday... I might have to give up gybing and stick to tacking...
