AlfaMale (18525km):  4 categories     Gentle foiling session at Kurnell, with my daughter taking the dogs for a walk. I started off with a 6.3 TRX thinking the wind was going to stay a consistent 15kt NE'er, but after half an hour daughter left and so did the wind.... occasional gusts to get me going but not enough in the lulls for sustained long runs unfortunately. I should definately have rigged a larger rig, but as I approached shore, my kid drove off, with prior instructions to make sure she came back around 5PM... oh well 6.3 it is. Ironically I rigged the smaller sail to ease the load on my back as I'm recovering from an injury.... but the smaller sail meant I had to pump my arms off to get the board up to foiling speed. Chalk it up to experience! So much nicer water quality just 6km away from Kyeemagh :) Lovely day to be out on the water.! No amazing gybes or downwinders today :( just good times, Oh one good success today: NO catapults! 15 sessions in and I'm getting the hang of it, finally. | ||||||||||||||||||
