Iso 105 FF24 TR16 7.0

Fun sail with Jeremy and Shane. I was destroyed by Morts speed today. Totally outclassed.

It was nice to have sun and an easterly in April, no records set but great to be on the water.

First try with the FF24. fundamentally it was a good weed fin. I need to do some more tuning to determine if it, like the FF20, is excellent.

I was Captain Pessimistic when I arrived at Lilacs, so procrastinated long enough that Steve & Shane were the Guinea Pigs. It didn't look promising when Steve grovelled all the way across to the other side on his first run slow stroll but when I saw him get on the plane coming back decided to rig up. Just enough to get going most of the time with a bagged out sail & hooked one nice gust for the 2sec. Good fun sail Cool

Early morning session with the Stroppy Fella. Wind was light

Took a bit of pumping to get going but then it was all golden.

Joyous sail from Liptons down to the sand bar at Dawesville 3 runs before the wind switched of altogether.

Two stacks today, first one got myself al out of shape heading towards Liptons working it hard upwind, second Stroppo used the farce on me, sailing alone quite nicley on a sweet run down to the Dawesville sand bar when I went to look over my shoulder to make sure Stroppo wasn't sneeking up on a stealthing run, anyways I turn and look over my shoulder and the rotten basket uses the farce on me with a breach and an over the front, Bugger twas a great run too.

Still working on really committing my weight to the harness using mast foot pressure to trim the board rather than just standing on the board and using body weight, a bit trickier (hence the first stack) but more efficient and betterer.

Good timesCool

Woo hoo a bit of cream on the cake, just checked and found 1/2knot increase in my Nm PB

Glad you guys got out. I enjoyed a waist to head high wave at Avi, first time I've had a surf this year. I was very rusty, but was getting more comfortable with every wave, then the breeze came in. Much too light to sail, but enough to take the magic off the waves.
