8-12kts Sw occ puff 14kts then 15- 24kts SSW Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 7m M1- RS4 ( 111ltre) - 21cm FF then 7m - 80ltre  isonic and 16cm kestrel then 6.2m with 80ltre and 16cm kestrel

Got there at 9.30..finally decided to try and sail at c 2pm.. Could have used the 7.5m and big board but it was forecast to get stronger so I played it safe with the 7m. The FF was too deep to go in the flats much so I worked / plodded my way up to peel st area to be in a good spot for the Sw to pick up..Grr it came in SSW Yell so I was forced into the flats more. Kept out wide and a fast trip back ( 27kts which isn't too bad for the big board).. It was coming in and I thought about rigging down but it was still a bit patchy so I put the 7m on the 80ltre isonic..not much fun in the chop with the kestrel but good in the flats..It was getting stronger and I didn't fancy trying to get across the channel overpowered with the 16cm..It wasn't fun...I didn't hook in but my arms gave out about 100m from the shore..Undecided.. managed to waterstart and get in..

I put the 6.2m on and it started to get fun! Unfortunately it was now going on 4pm and getting pretty late and 'dark" ( jaws theme)..I only did a few runs and then came in..I thought the aplha would be better as it felt fast. The 2 sec was a nice surprise as I thought I only got 30kts..

I think I found the ridge of sand I was telling people about down in the shallows near the wagon wheel.. I was hooking in straight away to get the weight off the board ( as it was so shallow) but hit a ridge and ended up in the sail. Bashed hard on my ribs into the boom..ow..

Got in and felt a bit weird but I wanted to get out of my wet stuff so I ignored things and pushed on..By the time I'd got dressed the heart thingy had me and Andrew and Pete had to put my gear away. Thanks guy!

Closet I've come to blacking out but luckily I was in the process of lying down so it wasn't an issue..I've got a procedure at the end of next month that will hopefully fix me but I think I may have to try and underrig and take it very cruisey until then..Frown

Sue appearred to come good just as Pete and I got all her gear back in the van. It took a while as we had to take out than huge fin before we could move the board. Even then it took the two us to carry that huge aluminium thing back to the van.
