Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU

I went home happy ...YAY. Took a punt and headed upto the home of the legends. Arrive to bright blue sky's and a complete white out - the choppy kind. Wow, it was honking. The best i have seen it at Tinaroo for over 12 months. Andy@WSG's little thingy wind measurer bobby doohicky was being kind and read 20 knts at the shore, but it was crazy stuff out in the middle for a while....oh well, whats a lad sposed to do, just rig what you brought up mate and have a crack.

So up went the 7.3 HSM GPS with me old mate Bluey the Bludger, dinner plate eyeballs and we just held on for dear life. Had a ball. Couldnt land a gybe to save myself to start off, just to rough and couldnt get my balance right so we just persevered with NM's & 2 Sec. Could have done with a shorter fin today. The old 49cm S10 was very draggy at the top end and cost me heaps i'd say, weel thats my story any way Wink. Andy was smoking out there. Looked real fine and had the old Futura cranked down wind and was laying down a real nice session. Glad I made the effort guys - safe travels home next week.

Started to die out as the early arvo progressed so we voted for an early knock off.

Used: 125 AHD Blue Bludger, 49 S10, HSM GPS 7.3

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Such a beautiful day out there.  Rigged 7.2m V8 and Atomiq120.  Nice 20 knot breeze and sunshine everywhere - I would still be out there but I had an appointment.  Left Ed Wheatley out there, working on his 90km afternoon.  He looked happy with his 97 isonic and 6.6m S-Type.  Veteran, John, turned up for a sail.  Benny has sold him my old 7.2m Fusion and he is going to get a lot of use out of that.  Also sold him a boom and leant' him an old 122 litre Futura that was gathering dust in the container.  Hoping to pencil in a Friday session.

Green Island, QLD, AU 20-30knot forecast but didnt eventuate .Rigged the Evos 5.8/6.4 last night for an early session -best water was going to be ~ 630 but 15knots only at 630 .

Shed is locked until 920 am so no chance to access bigger gear .

Spent my time on the Iso 80 /Tribal SW 27/Evo 9 6.4 .

Beautiful warm day so disappointed with lack of wind but still a great place to "skunked".

Ripper tracks mobbers!

Terrific top speed there B1 on the ol' Blue Bludger!!- many kudos given!  Reckoning a few more knots would have been there for sure with the CA & smaller fin Cool

Bloody bugger Ed about the GPS...  but I know deep down you would have been racking up the k's in good fashion as per usual.

Wasn't one bit jealous at all whilst I was toiling hard at work watching the trees swaying in the wind outside the warehouse today Cry

I'm in for a GI sesh Saturday if enough wind sticks around - if anyone's keen, flick me a msg

Thanks Kel, Freddo and Ben.

Ed, your a numpty.

Firie, I took the Bludger (obviously, der!!!) and I generally take a larger board as Tinaroo tends to be very hit and miss with the breeze. One minute your screaming along and the next your stuck out in the middle doing a Circ d sole act. The Bludger just gives me that little bit more planing time and I can generally get through to the next wind line.....generally!!!
