Bit of a fizzer, got too love winter!!

Wind came up eventually, not much though.

Worked my way upwind with Simon, then he broke his boom a few hundred metres past the beacons.

Bit of hard work towing him in.

After that was buggered, Rob wasn't keen to head back out. Called it a day.

Thanks Jason,  sorry to put a dampner on your afternoon.  And thanks Rob for helping with the gear at the other end.  Geeeeezus I was cold by the end. I've never broken a boom on both sides -- usually its just one side and I get back!  If anyone wants to relive all the exitement of my swim + tow, its on KA72, but Im not bothering to post a result here.  Thanks again every one who gave a hand, it IS MUCH APPRECIATE

Good your ok Simon and well done Jay I know what its like I towed Pierre in 3 times during a bad bach of masts he was using at the time.

Alloy booms only last so long they corrode inside plus they bend, I will only use carbon booms now this is how I got my nick name from when I use to own alloy booms.
