5-18kts W peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

1st sail post op and after a 6 week break + with flu

Technically I wasn't supposed to let my heart get above 120 beats until midday tomorrow..Embarassed

Op seems to have got rid of the nasty 160-200 beats that are hard to stop but I was on 140 most of today..Undecided

Could be still recovering/ unfit / flu...will wait and see. At least they subside a bit when I rest.Cool

I had trouble rigging due to 140 heart rate and had to stop all the time to settle it but i was ok derigging so i must have been more worried that I thought.. ( last time I was at peely it was ambo to hospital..

Needed to get out and sail to releive the fear..

Stopped regularly and didn't try much but I can still sail and gybe..phew..Undecided

Rigged the 7.5m - 111ltre 24FF when I first got there but it kicked in a bit and I didn't use this but rigged the 7m M1 - 87ltre iso - 21cm FF

The occasional gust was fun and the depth was ok. I only ran aground once. It started to kick in so came in and got the 80ltre iso and 20cm FF and raced back out...ouch..Oh I forgot my gloves!..Oh and my helmet...best bearaway and gybe of the day. Argh! and my GPS YellUndecided Laughing

Back in and got them for a few more runs..

Bit patchy for the 80ltre.

Toby ( WA) Pete, Bruce , Nigel, Mike, Pugs, Milsy and  later Mick and Paul.. other unidentifiable people- hard to recognise everyone with beanies / caps etc Smile

Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU

falcon 114, S2 venom 7.7, select v max 37

went to bonnels bay in morning but decided not to sail and go to Teralba as blowing over 30 in hunbut not there had a quick and shit sail there wasted day waiting then went home and sailed and found it had been blowing all day "not funny".

so had quick sail late in day in gusty conditions but it was flat for open lake super happy with speed like that on big gear and not that windy.

Laughing I was struggling to rig the big kit - (sitting down every few minutes to let the heart settle) .Then I didn't even need it and had to struggle to rig the smaller gear and I'm thinking this sport isn't worth the effort..Yell Got out there caught a puff , sped off and thought yep it is!! Tongue out
