5-8kts WNW one puff to 12kts Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.32

 7m M1- RS4 - 24FF

 Wasted what could have been a fun session..Yell I think that might be close to a PW 1hr..

 The last 2 sessions I've rigged the big kit and then it's come in and I've had to rerig smaller before I even got out.. Today I thought I'd suss it out a bit first to decide what to rig..It came in c 5-20kts WNW. I finally settled on the big board for the lulls and  7m for the gusts..

I hit the water and it died  to buggerall..Frown Went out and sat with Pete and talked for a while until a puff got us enthused enough to try and sail. Pete went home.I hung around but even the gusts weren't enough to get going..Decided I'd rather be home working so I packed up.. Of course it looks like it came in after I left..Undecided

 B westerlies..

 Oh well it was a sunny day and I got to use my new wettie. I was worried the arms were too tight but once wet it's ok..Hopefully next time ..

Next time sail with Jeff at Teralba 😎 he is up on all wind conditions, just follow him all the time

You gotta check Meteye, Sue. A classic Hunter Valley westerly. This is for 4PM today but the earlier graphs had mostly nothing south of Swansea and it all wizzing through Singleton and down the Valley. For some reason, these graphs are rarely wrong when it comes to westerlies.

Yes I checked that plus a million others ..just for once met eye + willy weather both said Budgy would get 20kts and i took a punt..I was hoping to improve the hr  and sometimes  Budgy can be more consistent in a WNW ..I could have had a good sail if I'd procrastinated less and got out earlier.. Grr.Undecided

I was worried Teralba would be too strong...I'll have to try Teralba next time..Frown

 It's your fault Jeff, talking about your horror sail at Teralba last time..Wink

The horror sail was my fault and my fault alone. Today couldn't have been more pleasant. I think I've worked out that the 7.8 is no good at Teralba. It's too much in the gusts and in the lulls nothing would be big enough! There's always next time, Sue.
