Maybe the best Soldiers Cove session I've had.

Fastest on the new board so far, and flat water!!!!! Wind was a bit on the gusty side, so I abanded thoughts of little speed boards and went with he 48 to help me in the lulls, used the 5.0 Koncept and 23@43 weedy.

Started the day, checking out the options. Soldiers cove was sailable but very square, Fangys looked out of control, but Lunny and Woody were heading out, so I stayed to watch them. Johnski arrived and started rigging, but Lunny and Woody were heading back in. Too rough was their verdict, so I suggested we have a go at Soldiers Cove, even though it was square.

Wind looked lighter there, but as we rigged it went ballistic, didn't last all that long, so stayed with my first choice.

John and I had a cruisey session getting low 30s, until Lunny and Woody arrived, then we got some real action for about 10 minutes, then wind switched off for about 35mins. We were all getting cold, so I took the next bit of wind in. After I'd derigged another squall came through, and it looked like Lunny and woody got some good speeds from it.

Good on you for sacrifice of speed and not putting windsurfing at risk of getting band
