Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Went down the beach full of expectation.  Heaps of wind - more than I enjoy - probably 22-24 knots - rigged my 6.5 Severne Turbo and Atomiq 120 ran 40cm Drake.  Tide was good enough to do a beach launch.  Got out there and it was really rough and sloppy.  Sun was shining - wind picked up - spent a good deal of time getting dialled in and then after an hour and a bit lost interest.  School holidays mean that I can look forward to a Wednesday session and so on.  Ed's turned up with a bloody big bandage on his knee from the last sailing sesh... probably wants me to kiss it better.  22 knots is a good speed for me - but just couldn't get comfortable... I hate to say it but... too much wind.
