RS2/ Koncept 6.6/ Delta 20

Wind very patchy, spent a lot of time changing fins and trying the small JP with a 6.2, but it was not the right day. Was good to see Matty, Sue, Mick and Bruce after long time, and have a chat with Royce.

Tomorrow Bestic str. or George's river ??? Smile

Great session at Georges river in the sutherlyl...

iSonic 90L, ERD 38cm (thought it might be too big, but was awesome!), and TRX7.0... perfect size really... too small at points, to big rarly.

I was up at the sand bar and cranked a beaut gybe, so sent it down/across the wind towards the bridge, and maanged another descent gybe so kept sending it deeper and deeper past the mangrove sands.... until the wind died and I gybed. Another run and I sent it right out to the bay for a bit of an experiment. Made it back by the other yacht club... the ERD was awesome, so much upwind ability and didn't feel oversized off the wind. Very impressed! And I used to think the VMAX 4 was good :)

Good to sail with Conner, Wayne, Ken (unhappy), Bax, ... and a few others, and one old guy on a wally :)

Nice work, Andrew.Impressively straight tracks again.

Unfortunately my GW60 didn't charge properly so I didn't get any results for today. Certainly felt like a handfull with the iSonic 107L and the 6.2m race sail lit up out in the Southerly chop. Managed a couple of nice jumps on the slalom board - completely unplanned and unavoidable!

As usual, Remi showed complete disrespect for the big Southerly and kept with the 7.0m throughout. John thought he would copy and took his demo Falcon for some flying lessons.

Top marks team! Not an easy day to go fast for sure. Unless you are Remi...

Hope you were kind to your slalom boards and avoided gulping down any H20 +sh#&^t&**

5km range today... SW to NE... fun taking some longer runs, feeling reasonably confident I could get back despite the sinker. Literally! A few lulls behind the trees had my board speed below 1kt and 90L doesn't feel very bouyant any more.

George's river was brown, but not too bad considering all the rain... Some of the water near Carters Island was still pretty clear... except I still managed to bottom out on one run.
