Albany, WA, AU

Back in Perth after a nice couple days in Albany, today the tide was just about right but the wind wasn't as strong as yesterday afternoon, the KAR 6.3 has that much tape on it I'm surprised it held up. What can I say but the guys down Albany have such a great little backyard for nautical miles, one day the stars will align and i'll be back.No Mob sailing today I must have scared them away, was on my lonesome Uuntil one of Neil's mates riocked up I think his name is John, his sons had a drone ujp following him, now a trick for young players make sure the battery is fully charged, they followed him all the way down to kiters beach when it flaged 20% and the fail safe kicked in to go back to home. You can guess what happened next, drone ran out of battery and is in Lilacs submerged. To the Albany crew it's about 300 metres from the launcg spot somewhere in the drinkSealed

Ta guys, pity the wind didn’t come in like met eye predicted 25-30 would have been epic, blowing max 20. 24 fin was draggy stayed away from the real smooth and there was plenty but too draggy.

Some of us are still at work 😫

Great to see you got a couple of good blasts in Boz. Makes the drive worth it!

Hopefully there will be a little bit left for a float tomorrow.

Congrats Boz! Always nice for a top 5, but to nail a PB (and top spot on the NM) when the challenge is on.... well what can I say. Impressive!

What fin were you using? The tracks show some pretty heavy upwind work! i know you mentioned 24, but Tribal WS or MUF Delta or similar?

Cheers Salty

Salty, second day used a 24 vector weed speed 45 deg, first day was tribal super weed speed 45 deg couldn’t get hold of a delta tribal in time, the delta would have been perfect at 16-18 mainly for less drag through the weed, otherwise the two other fins did well.
