Nice long runs today, with super clear water

Tried the new Tribal 40 Slalom and loved it

Hopefully I beat the boss today!

SBUS147 DrakeRace58 NP V8 7.7

Well what a very plesent suprise!!! No not that Old Salt got the jelly beans BUT what a great little session that we had.

Hats of to Steve for pushing harder than me grabbing some nice speed.

My first outing with the 2018 V8 7.7 and when taking it down the beach it felt so light. I used my smaller boom, 160-220 which is narrower in grip and width to my race size. No adj out haul but that was fine. Impeccable manners. I ran the boom a little too low but had plenty of control. The board got a little antsy but never nasty, on the edge on the US147 is great. Ill hunt down a 50 fin for it one day.

Back on the beach i was very happy to see 40kms done and 48kmh (26.3knts).

Lovely long runs only about a km off the beach. Pix shows the yacht club on the right & Siesta park on the left. About 9km runs and thats half way to Dunno.

Off shore mate. We use larger boards & fins to get home. Also prefer to sail with someone. Trust your kit. Want to come out with us?

I wonder if any MM will venture this far south. Love to see Fangy fanging here although its a handberg free zone. Not sure if they can handle their booze, either. BYO flares epirb & rescue boat.

No problem. I will send through my Performance Contract Rider template tomorrow. I don't think there is anything too hard for you meet, its just the usual stuff, rigging bitch, accommodation, transport, and wines crushed by the last remaining virgin south of Slugger's house..., just thought perhaps that last one could be a tricky.

Nice work guys. 1km is a long way out if something breaks in offshore conditions. I might brave it this summer with life jacket, Epirb, flares and a backpack full of spares, though my “big” gear of 113l and 7.3m might not big enough. I reckon your spot might just be a foilers paradise though?
