Lake George, SA, AU

SSW 14-26 knots-Patrik 92-Koncept 6.2-S11 35cm

Something different, a sail with Jamie at Lake George.

Water state always looks way less wind than there is until you get out there to which I was uncomfortable and maxed. Followed Jamie upwind to a sort of cove where the water was super flat but the runs very short which meant being knackered fast:-(

Loft S'blade 6.8, JP Slalom 102 + FF22

 

Bit of a blast on the big gear. Tried for an hour but probably should have got on the water about 30mins earlier. Tide went out so the town end got too shallow & grabby for my liking plus the wind got a bit patchy in the last 20mins. Still I'm pretty happy with the result, need to work on my sailing fitness tho...

Way to deep atm! Step off shore edge, a few steps and go. Whereas when it gets smooth its more of a wade out..... A ways to go till water evaporates out but then I'm not really a local to know any better.

Even though "it's rough now" its way less bumpy, less choppy in more areas compared to my Boggy Lake hence able to hANG ON to an oversized selection:-)
