1938 days ago Cervantes, WA, AU. GPS challenge day. Plenty of wind, would have rigged the 5.6 if we still had 2 400 masts, but had to go with the 6.3, which was too big. Tried to do the 1 hour first before the wind picked up and sailed out to the island, but got disoriented and ended up too far upwind on the way back. Going downwind overpowered on the Falcon 89 in chop is really not my thing, so it took forever to get back downwind to the speed strip.
It was really cool to see so many speedsurfers on the same speed run. I was a bit tired by then, but still managed to get my 3rd-fastest 2-seconds ever. I think the Fangy fin might have been faster - after getting spoiled by it, I had several spinouts with the BPWS 31 (really 24 or so) when going into slingshots.
