Majestic Point, WA, AU

6.2 out of action so went on the 5m which was surprisingly powered up. Wind was about 20-25 knots and heaps of yachts out. tempted to stay out longer but want to save it for another day. Perfect day for windsurfing. Cool

5m overdrive, 72 jp slalom, 23 vector weedy

Melville Beach, WA, AU

One of the better sessions at Melville, arrived early as the previous days wind would boot in early ease off and hopefully boot in for a second session after 3. Mission was to put the pointer fin to the test, solid 18kn in between the carpark and sand bank so went out to just do Alphas, kept gybing back and forth hitting 22 and 23's, one better than decent gust in the gybe arc and hit the 24, gybe speed only fell to 13.8 for 0.2 sec rest of the arc 14 and above, happy with that as the entry legs into and out never went above 27. Pointer fin made the differance. Tryed a few speed runs with the pointer felt super stable but by this time wind had eased off a bit.

Changed over to 28 WS to access the shallower areas but never got past 36knots on the runs, was nearly about to call it quits even slowie called it quits but by this time Ben just got back from Point Walter, happy chappy a +24 Alpha and a 36 2 sec. Ben I was only joking when I said I'd go out and get a 37 but as it would happen most of the sailors had gone in and called it quits so the water conditions was slightly dmoother, grovelled for a bit but could see a gust ahead, well this had a bit of a kick so a bearaway to the North of the bank, felt good peak 38.34. Pity the wind died as the water conditons were optimal for 40's today at that time, next time.

Great to catch up with Ricey and late in the day Andrew, sorry Ben but at least you piped me on the Alpha, great going fantastic day.

Thought I would try out my 80L RRD board since there were some strong gusts; but the lulls killed it. Was horrible.

Changed to 105 Rocket and it was so good being able to get through most of the lulls.

5.8 Koncept, 27 WS

Good to see Boz and Ben

Pelican Point, WA, AU Edit - nm result now correct

Well I missed the peak by letting Crimson Flash demo my 57 ....but all good ..he loved it and bought one.

I got a couple of gusts and a good Nm then it slowly dropped off and I hung around hoping for a second wind but it didn't happen.

 Dutchies WA

Early afternoon foil sess – a proper seabreeze at last, solid SW 25 knots and 2m+ windswells.

Awesome fun down-winding with Lao. He hasn’t had so many foil sessions – hugely gutsy effort out there today Cool

And going back to Jakarta tomorrow so great end to this trip Smile

Both of us on 3.7s

Another great session Ben! Three top 5 scores there, including a sizzling second best alpha, what a great day! You are on fire!

Lao used to like doing a nm from PW. He said you have to go all the way down to the yacht club to get a good one.

Great sesh Ben and Boz. Smellville seems to be producing better numbers than the estuary recently. Boz i think id get bored staying confined to that small area infront of the carpark. Its working for you i guess and you have an audience.Laughing

Neil I can see you have a nice house with shade sails. You recorded your trip home and hence the incredible NMLaughing. Send the file through and I can crop it.

Cheers guys, thanks Stroppo.. and yes Boz, lucky you didn't ,it dropped right off down at Peli and it would have been a tedious upwinder to Melville ( I would have driven you tho)

Kenny was that you across the road in the bushes spying on where I live? Only put the shade sails up today so it couldn't be Google Earth. The Nm was down Selby street...I got a draft behind a bus as I was a bit underpowered. Should have put up a 5 litre V8..Wink

Great job on the alphas today guys!

Neil, that would have been a smoking river mile. Thanks for checking the track, Kenny.

I will zero that number until you can crop the track.

That's bloody bullshit. I hit 70 km/h along Jon Sanders drive?? I had it on cruise control too! So my Nm should have been 37!!

Seriously though, how come it didn't register my car speeds?

I was stoked to see it. I put on 4 kg of weight today and getting my top of 35 was sooo easy that I thought the Nm was possible... even if the wind was patchy...I bet I got at leasst a 29??

Sorry guys no deviousness intended. Boz and Pointman you can sleep well tonight. Wink

Great river speeds and uturns Nick and Ben. Neil, I tried to get away with a sneaky NM yesterday, but Ken nailed me too. I got pinned from 24.01 to 23.97. Ripped off. I thought my cruiser was much quicker.

Boz, I can only download the kml file(unless the pro account has more options). Need the GW60 SBP file. Neil has sent it through. His real NM is 28.712. He still beat everyone's NM anywayLaughing

Neil's nm from yesterday has now been entered correctly.

It is interesting that Neil is such a good sailor that we were all prepared to accept that very fast river nm - and yesterday it might have been achievable.

Thanks for checking the track Kenny, and picking up that the nm was on the drive home.

Neil, you'll just have to try again today.
