1909 days ago Lake George, SA, AU Back at the Golden Lake -made a mad dash after work SAT 11 am -after driving /flying & lots more driving I arrived this morning ~ 11am .Got bogged on my exploration of the LG foreshore & was rescued by Andy & Peter of the Southern Busters mob -thanks Guys -huge effort & you made it look easy .
Finally began the unloading /rigging to find my only board (for the trip was completely destroyed in transit .MyGod ...!! I'm used to things getting damaged but this was outrageous -a 3 cms crack /indentation down to foam across the entire width of the board around 70cms from the Nose.
Dezza ,bless her generous soul ,loaned me her 2017 Iso 97 ,a lovely board so I was ok after all ...!!!
Added the CL Delta 18 & Evo X 7m2 & was off .
Wind was 17-20 to begin with but really filled in as the session unfolded.
Did my hour in the lighter wind with better overall water condition & then ventured all over including having A COUPLE OF RUNS down at the spit with Sammy the snail ...
Best water was way downwind near the tip of the 2nd island .
Met lots of friendly /helpful people .Got to put some faces to names .
All up a great day despite the early dramas.
Was super impressed with Nudie's gear -so colorful /so pretty ...
