Hard work in a punchy noreaster which slowly faded.

North Warp 6.3.  Started on tthe 80l falcon with Black Project Weed Speed 25 with custom tapered tip, but water so low that it was striking the bottom consistently in the bearaway zone.  Went in (long walk in the shallows...) and swapped to the isonce W49 speed board, but on the first gybe after the first bearaway, fell on the boom and broke the head.  Slogged back again to the carpark for a new boom, then proceeded to have a resonably enjoyable arvo.  Unfortunately, by the time I frigged around to finally get comfortable on the right gear, the wind had eased.  Certainly a better arvo than the kiter who through some mishap, sent his kite on an all expenses paid, choose your own adventure trip towards Mount Warrigal.  Hope he gets it back in reasonable condition.

Good luck to all the teamies at Lake George!!!

No bearaways for me today, SP was pretty wild so I took it a bit easy and worked on getting my confidence back in those sort of conditions.

5.8 evo7, 56cm wide slalom board, Chester, 30cm & 27cm slalom fins.

Probably a bit overpowered on the 7m with the foil in the NE conditions. But still a good sailing session.

Yes the 27 fin settled the board down. I just wanted some flat water to bear away into.
