Unexpectedly got the opportunity for a very short sail at Peli. Good to meet Scott and a few other Pinnas out enjoying the gusty lumpiness.

Gusty SE wind but nice to get a sail with JJ and Lunny. Sailed a lot of the session with the mast track slipping all the way to the front of the track. No wonder i couldnt get upwind.Embarassed

The wind didn't arrive as forecast so just enjoyed tuning the Vapor 7.9 on the 66. The wind started to increase so rigged the 7.1 on the 61. Tried an hour with Alan and Morts who also was out but the wind was too fickle. Hopefully my departure picked up the wind for Shane121 who arrived as I de-rigged.

Ripping SE but very gusty with surprisingly large chop in places. Good to meet flatchat.

Interesting outing with Kenny. Breeze was quite warm, it looked strong but didnt seem to have the power i expected. Back on shore i realised the deck of the 112 has a nice split in it, full of juicy river water. That probably explains why things felt sluggish with a board full of water.

Great to catch up briefly with PD, Terry and JJ who was fanging around quite happily on the foil.

I had an interesting sail using the Fangy 20 to see how it would go in choppy conditions. Not too bad at all, no spin-out and with the 6.3 Ka it went upwind very well. I could sail in the shallows of Peli without fear. First run , barely powered got a 31.5 so it's not slow. Just as I was feeling good the mast popped through the head...headed back to Peli rigged the 7 but couldn't get the feel back and lost a bit of interest so called it quits. There wasn't enough depth of fin to settle and power up the board... but amazing for a 20 cm Dellta. I'm going experiment with this... a 6.3 and FF20 on a good seabreeze...could be fun and some wings may make it fly?

Well done, Scott!  Looks like you scored speed of the day and a couple of PBs as well. Smashed the 35 knot barrier! You are going to really fly when we get you into some flat water!

I couldn't get any takers for Mandurah and wasn't game to take on the stingrays by myself. Then I decided that 18 gusting to 32 on the choppy river was going to be more hard work than good fun and chose to give it a miss.

Sorry the forecast didn't deliver for you Mark. It looks like Monday was the day. Good thing you went down early.
