Went out at first with the 9.3, rigged at the 'gas station' behind the trees. When I carried my sail around the corner and down the sand dune, I nearly paniced as the wind had picked up and white caps were everywhere... But I'm glad I stuck with it as the 9.3 is awesome. Heavy, but feels like a 7.7 on the water (well until you try to flip it, or water start!).

On the water was actually 10kts =\- 4kts. Hard to float let alone foil in the lulls.

My Slingshot is on the smaller size, and felt like trying to plane on a slalom board with 10cm to little fin. Felt much better when the wind picked up.

Then Remi arrived, and I tried his AFS 800 wide front wing on 105 mast... amazing kit. So stable and smooth. Acceleration is controllable and the foil doesn't feel like it is trying to kill you. Mind you I didn't try to go over 20kts (death speed on my Slingshot) because, well we don't need two claws on Botany Bay.

Back on my Slingshot and we had a blast together, only Remi could foil upwind at about 10degrees closer to the wind, while faster! On the same angles, the AFS was impressively quicker! He pulled away from me like he used to before I bought his second hand RS4 and fins.

All this while he was on an 8.4 too. Sail size isn't everything folks!

Great day on the water.

can Remi start posting again? I think his period of forced absence should be over by now
