Harrington, NSW, AU. So we thought we head north today to Harry's with a 25 knt SE forecast. Long story short. Not to be.. Sand had shifted so much from the last time we sailed there. What use to be a 900m run along the breakwall, was only just under 500m's. We saw a shark not long after we arrived with a shit load of bait fish going nuts while we were sailing. Matty had disapperaed round the point Went around to check and far out the tide was running out like ive never seen and of huge consequence to our Captsain Matty D who will tell the story Im sure. So sorry Matty for the huge loss but very glad we can talk about it. 6.3 KaRace 100 PDSL 18 Kestrel Go Marauders!! Bill and Milos were killing it when we came in and flying past while I was out as well. Welldone boys.

Light wind and current don't mix! Big thanks Bill, Micky, Greg and Milos for helping me and Dave for his comic relief on the beach.

No more river mouths for this little black duck! After a nice run the wind died and I put down a gybe, no wind to water start, swim the the bank I thought it's only 10m away! But current dragged me around the corner and pulled the rig under water so I ditched the rig before I headed to New Zealand then I paddled back to the sand bank.

Ca 117, former 7m, and 37cm vmax(thanks Greg)

Good adventure to a new spot for me. Apparently it used to be better.

It was very short runs, not enough wind, a bit sharky with lotsa bait fish and we are lucky to all make it back?

Wont be heading back although I love an adventure:)

Shite Matty glad you are ok, pity bout the gear. Reminds me of Macca going out through Swansea Heads years ago. Oh well gear can be replaced.

Not a Top Ten day there Matt! Surprised That sounds like it was a freckle tight time, bad luck about the gear, but good to hear you came out OK.

Yep, ocean bars are no place to have anything go wrong. On the day Wayno is remembering I had a broken mast step on an outgoing tide at Swansea Heads. Was getting ready to ditch the rig and paddle in on the board but was rescued by a local kite boarder, gear and all, who towed me to the sea wall. Older and wiser, Matt!
