Day 1 at Lake George on our 2 day cannonball run tour. Rocked up and hit the water at 1pm and got straight into an hour. Ended up on the far side of the spit. Worked back to 5 mile and swapped to the speed board for the rest of the arvo. Naish SP95, Gun GSR7.1, UFO 24/50/10 then iSonic W49 with UFO 18/50/10 then 24/50/10 as it got choppier.

Lake George, SA.

After crashing in tents for 3-4 hours sleep by the roadside somewhere between Benalla and Shepparton last nigh, Jetlag and I finally made LG at 1pm and the 5 mile launch.

Straigh on the 7.0m North Warp, and initially the 104l falcon with Gun Weed Control 29.  Big effort to zig zag downwind down the lake for a full hour.  Felt fast, felt like a PB but results was disappointing.  Was the story of the day, felt fast but the GPS said otherwise.  Tried a few runs at the spit - nice flat water but tame wind, the zig zagged back upwind to 5 mile to grab the Mistral 95 (55 wide) and Tribal Weed Speed 25.  Another great boar and fin combo, flying the fin beautifully and a good way to warmp up to the habitual 5 mile drag strip.  As the wind increased yet more (still on the 7.0m), grabbed the speed board (isonic W49) and kept lapping at 5 mile.  Again, felt fast but the GPS disagreed.

Twas a sensational day on the water to kick of the 'Eckers and the Jet', 2 day windsuring cannonball run.
