A very nice surprise with Coodanup delivering some good fun conditions with quite a few smiley faces out there.

Started on the Windtech 64 which was comfy and delivered a 24.95 alpha, best hr & 35kn 2sec

Switched over to the 57 for the rest of the session. Stoked that it delivered a second best ever alpha.

A Great DaySmile

Coodanup, WA, AU M91, 6.2K, 21 Tribal ultra weed.

Finally! some good wind on my day off, resulting in only my second speed session of the year, and the first one was at Peli so that doesn't really count.

A good turnout with roughly equal numbers of mobbers and Pinnaroos on a gusty day at Coodanup. The wind was gusty (10 - 20 kn) but the tide was perfect and the water was almost flat over the weed beds.

It always felt like there was more speed to be had, but most runs for me were 29s and 30's with only a few 31s and 32s.

Good to catch up with Boz, Kenny, Mark, Craig, Sammy and Basil.

I am going to be sore tonight and tomorrow. Good fun though.

A great sesh with the team @ fanjees. Started of with the small board but couldnt even register an alpha due to the shifty wind. Changed to the 91 mistral with the new bottom and the wind filled in nicely. Happy to get better speeds with the bigger board. Hope that means the board is back to normal after the major repair.

Quite a few mobbers out also enjoying the frontal winds. A taste of winter today even though it was pleasantly warm. A minor impact with a big stingray saw it splash about after id hit it.

6,2 overdrive, 72 Jp slalom then 91 mistral, 23 vector, 27 c3 sting

Epic foil session, fairly on-shore SW 18-24 knots. Big grunty wind-swells and not much weed Smile

Good distance, Boz, and you pipped Lunny for speed...

Windsurfing jousting sounds interesting... we could just take out a spare mast ... could be dangerous for sails though...and we don't wear armour...

A very successful raid on the local paddock Peskys! It actually looked pretty cool at times with so many peeps on the water doing speed runs one after another. Lunny, I saw a few of your alphas and they looked smoking fast, so good to see the numbers don't lie, good job!LaughingCool

Thanks Sue. This was really my only speed sailing session of the summer Frown.

All those lighter wind days were good for improving my gybing technique though...

You get good speeds for someone who speedsails so rarely.

I haven't forgotten how to do a speed run.

I quickly forget good gybing technique though!

I need some flatwater gybe practise as I get into bad habits in the chop. Laughing
