The usual variety at Wally world. Arrived to no wind but about 6 frolicking dolphins off the end of the jetty. Rigged up and sheltered from a hail storm with huge gusts. When I went out after the wind dropped.

Rest of the morning was sun, rain gusts, holes. Used a variety of kit with the *brd nonose being the fastest.

Koncept 5.8 which was good on the nonose to my surprise. *brd 50 nonose, JP84, 28JP, 29elmo weedy, 24 choco.

Put the 24 on at the end thinking it might be faster. Felt faster but wasn't.

Good to see so many crew out. Hardpole, Pointman and James D smoking lots of runs. Had one quick go on James' gear and it was amazing how different the set up was. Nice board and sail combo. Bogdog and Darryl from PSS, Benny and Jet who looked to be getting some nice runs.

Thanks for the eggs Bogdog!

In short, I bloody froze out there todaySurprised First time ever I have been cold enough to end up being a sooky La la and gave it away for the dayEmbarassed

Went to Melville but so many lulls and so cold packed it in and went to Wallyworld, if you going to be sitting about in lulls its a much more pleasant place to wait for wind. Couldnt quite get much speed today, the wind was either too much or too little, like the bears porridge Smile

At least I got wet (and cold), 5.8m ezzy and sonic 95, 24 drake.

Point Walter JP Slalom V 60 NP RSS III 7.0 Vector 32 Much flatter than my previous visits here and had a lot more fun than expected. Still having issues with derotating cams in big gusts adding to the excitement. Some tuning still to be done!

Thanks very much Bogdog for the eggs - I look forward to breakfast tomorrow!

Afternoon session at Crazy Waves was a major disappointment (crazy chop but no waves) - should have stayed on the river.

Short sesh at Wallyworld in the morning with quite few crew out.

After yesterday's skunking on the speed kit I played it safe and rigged 93 S-Type + 6.6 Koncept + 32 Goldwing.

Usual Walter gustiness making it hard to get in the groove, but generally pretty flat.

3rd day of sailing in a row, so the hunger wasn't really there and I was happy to call it quits after an hour.  It was also farken cold!!

Well done James on the PBs.

For some reason my GT-11 froze a couple of minutes after switching it on.  Lucky I noticed, normally I forget about it.  After I turned it off and then back on all was good.  Perhaps I should charge it up once in a while...

Teaching a friend so couldn't put up my smaller sail (needed the mast that was being used).  Overcooked in the gusts, slogging in the lulls, cold, unfit, forearms cramping.

Better than sitting at home though!

Nice work James! Hats off to all of you for braving the cold - I made it to Melville but had to admit to myself I'm soft and buggered off back home to a warm house Embarassed

Great speeds, James. Well done on more Pb's. I am keen to see what you can do on speed gear. You were really tearing it up out there.

It seems you are consistently 2 knots faster so what am I going to do about it?Undecided

Pinnas still pushing for 6th spot in the year rankings. Easy categories sorted now we have to get the Hour, mile and some distance.

Fingers crossed for the end of the week. Keep in touch.

Well done James on the PB's.

I pick up my JP Slalom V 60 next week and you have set the benchmark so far on that board.

I will be out chasing you as the leg gets stronger. Tongue out
