Majestic Point, WA, AU

Out early hoping to at least get some of the easterlies.....desperate times lateley seems the Freo Doctor has gone on a summer holiday somewhere. Wasnt looking too promising from Attadale but i did see a couple of Severne coloured specks in the distance so it was off to Majestic Point. Turned out reasonable but gusty, but thats the easterlies i guess. Peli Point might have been better for launching.

Pelican Point, WA, AU iS111, 5.7 Firefly 35CF then 166L JP board

Helis at Peli. That distance doesn't look like much but it represents about 2 solid hours of attempted helitacks. I can't say I managed any that were totally in control but I did stay on the board for a few. I found a whole new variety of ways to throw myself around and get bruised and battered. Thanks Neil and Steve for the coaching. I'm sure I'll get them next time.

Surprised to find wind (10-15) at peli when there was only about 2 knots at home. Expecting only 5-10 knots at best I only took the big board and one sail but could have got planing with something a bit bigger.

Missed you Anita.

I arrived with only Formula gear at 9am to see Rowen and Peter nicely lit on medium slalom gear. Desperate for a sail, and not keen to lose 40 mins, I hired some gear for an hour.

45 mins in it was Formula weather again! Came in a rigged my gear and had a superb 30 mins, then there was a huge kick to the wind again. I went to put use my chicken strap and the screw pulled out Surprised

After 5 mins of deep downwind unhooked and back foot woobling, I dumped the sail and floated (in the rigth direction) for 20 mins.

Eventful day!
