Flatchat (9962km): Albany, WA, AU Abit of an anticlimax when huey decided to fade away. Quite a hard slog trying to sail the 98 underfinned but at least the smooth was mesmerising. FF98, Evo9 7.0m, Tribal Delta 16
Woody-Mark (14748km): Albany, WA, AU left at 4am and met up with Boz in Kojanup both amped with the forecast we expected to deliver. It looked promising but a little lighter than expected so rigged the Manta 128lt and vapor 7.1 CL Delta 20 for a warm up session expecting to rig the 5.6 with the speedboard shortly. Lunny, Flatchat, Chris Porter, soon arrived to a dropping wind. Not the epic blow we expected. Stayed on the big gear and thought an hour may work but lulls prevented a solid session. Not often you can't get planning off the start of the naughty run. Thought I would go for distance but that too was cut short as the wind dropped to 1-5knots. Had a nice chat with Lunny and Flatchat out in the bay as the wind swung E and got warmer. Good to see Shane and Steve the locals too. Seeing the lightening with Lunny and Boz on the way home was the most epic part of the day. Not as expected but still a top day.
Lunny (42007km): Albany, WA, AU Bugger all breeze so i waited, chatted, waited more then figured Woody, Boz and Tim were cruising around so it was worth a shot. The smooth reminded me a lot of foiling. Such a nice feeling. Still worth the adventure meeting up with everyone plus the rain and lightning was a great change. I do wonder though if the RBT on the way home was a Random Boz Test set up by Fangy to keep Boz further out of his patch. Hmmm? M112, SV M2 7.0, BP Kestral 22
Boz (39135km): Albany, WA, AU Everything but wind, Fangys must have pepered the bay with cobblers in an attempt to discourage the Pinnas from the southern waters, the RBT on the way home was also a valliant attempt as the Fangy fences seem to have no impact to stop the Peskyss from travelling the country side in search of wind, it seems Fangy must have bribed the weather people to give a better than expected report for Albany to lure the Pinnas away from his home turf and he suceeded to lure 5 Pinnas away. Still good fun nice the catch up with the Albany boiys and a great bunch of Pinnas, alas not to be this time looks like one more 800k round trip before the end of the month Manta 61/54 KAR 6.3 |
