Inverloch, VIC, AU

Started at 10 with Rupet on the high tide as the swell wasn't big enough for a surf. Up n down start and I jumped on the big gear for a few rounds untill it filled in.

Onto the play gear and jump a few of the waves rolling into the inlet, great fun with very few out . Soft lot Tongue out. Once the tide turned a few more arived to play but so did 30 kitters Yell of which half were legaly blind and we all had near misses on the speed course. One young lad was very lucky that I am very good and missed him by mm as he launched upwind of me.  Had to stand on the tail and turn at 30kts Surprised, i'm impressed that the fin didn't skip out. I ended up chatting to another kiter later about our many near misses and mine was his son. Dad was't impressed Laughing

Still , another fun day out

Sandy Point. Vic.

Quite a nice blast around on the inlet in a 18-25 SW.

I had to wait for te tide to start going out mid arvo. there were a few lulls, but mostly I was nicely powered on 5.7m in the low 20's

I wanted to try the Atomic 30cm Pointer fin that Martin lent me. I had high expectations, but I was actually blown away by how good it was. I have had a few different 30cm Pointer type fins over recent years and didnt get on that well with many of them. This one I definitly did! Completely spinout resistant, and that is the flaw that most of the others I have tried had. Lifed the board well both upwind and downwind and super controlable. I could not find anything I could critisize, apart from the usual danger with a vertical fin of catching a few threads of weed in this place. I actually only had that happen a couple of times and it didnt seem to affect the fin as much as would have expected. I had virtually given up on using 'pointer' type fins at Sandy in the last year ot two, just because of the few bits of fine ribbon weed. I will have to reasses that now!

Lots of fun. Laughing
