Same gear as every other day Smile

Bit less wind than yesterday so a very nice way to finish off my 3 days in Mandurah with a nice cruisy sail. Nice to meet Greg the newest Mobster & I'm looking forward to seeing your progression mate. Plenty of good people there to help you improve, I can attest to that.

Had a blast the last few days, thanks to everyone!

Had a few goes at Alphas, a 25.42 at 52m. So close yet so far Yell

A nice cruisey Fangys session with lots of crew, then the gathering afterwards. A real fun day!!!!!! Pics after.

cup group

OK here most of us are, started to get cold after the sun went down, so Fangy was kind enough to invite us round to his nice warm pool house.

Played silly buggers with the GT31. No data due to lock out. Will have to take the battery out to unlock it. Data from GW60. I am sure that there is more data in there but I dont know how to get it.

Otherwise a great sail in the smooooth. Good conditions and good company.

It does not get better than this.Even had a pair of stingrays to play with.

Fangyland for a quick cruise around on the Party Barge to stretch the muscles from yesterday. Post the write up tomorrow - gotta hose down the floors now all the Mobbers have left the Estate.

Warm-down session with a big crew. Tide was getting on the low side and I missed telling a few newbies about the launch point and channel. The end result was I saw a sailor or two doing the long trek straight out to deeper water to launch. Still that was better than launching at Wamba like one keen weed walker who shall remain nameless. Possibly this was due to all the ringing endorsements of his new ‘faded red’ helmet on the previous day.

Highlight of the day was seeing Basil going like he had a cracker up his backside. No surprises that he got PB's for speed, it was the best I have seen him sail, locked in, and going deep! Congrats Basil :-)

For me it was a warm down session before the Mobber BBQ and a chance to make room for another festive season food baby. The shenanigans of the Windtech were seeming a little bit like to much concentration and effort, so I hit default settings instead,

Party Barge 310, Koncept 6.6, FangyFin24. I would have rigged the 7.5 but was too lazy to change all the boom settings. That should give you an idea of how focused I was on sailing at peak performance.

The rest is pretty much summarised by, ‘I went for a sail, forgot to fall off and ended up with yet another accidental PB hour and in the process had a rare Top Ten Fangy Day.’

Fangy’s M91 SL TR 16 7.0 . Pepe speed weed 25

Fun sail at Fangy's. Wind and water warm, weed close to the surface creating large flat areas. Had a great sail, many sailors on the water. Was finishing miles slightly short, towards the ends of the ruins it was relatively choppy.

Tried a couple of alphas using the markers, they make a world of difference, particularly with this combo whih I do not find easy to be fast at 50m proximity.

Well done onthe PB sailors, great to meet Greg, stick at it, it is a great sport.

Leave the hosing down Ross. You deserve a rest after that hour. Me or sludge might even offer you a job if you keep working that hard.

Gregg good to see the post at last. We are changing your avatar to Spiderman - just thought you should know :-) My girls wondered why you were at the BBQ;

Me "why do you think that girls?"

Daughters "well duh, he sooooo much better dressed and looking than the windsurfing guys...."  Bloody harsh and shallow my girls. Stay on their good side for as long as you can.

haha, just read Roger's post and wondered what he was on about. I had assumed the PB count was all Greggs and some drunken  maths. Excellent, yet another clueless Hour PB from me. Pretty happy with finally getting past 20 knots too. Laughing

Good to see your first post Greggo I give it 1 month before you are hooked. Fangstar so many PBs lately seems all this time on the water is paying off or maybe it’s just crab season and you are now to afraid to stop for a rest 😁.

Flying Fangy, you are on fire! Another PB. As Morts said, your top 5 table is getting clogged with Dec 17's. You certainly have been making the most of it after exams finished. No top 5 distances though, you are slacking off.
