Good to be on the water, Cool

Fangyland on a rarely seen strong SE, High tide combo. The end result was epically choppy, with more poo stance than the aftermath of a big chilli laksa and more sphincter moments than the first night in prison.

Windtech Cruise, Ka6.6, FF24Swift

Post more later.

Fun session at onshore liptons.

Wind was a great direction but very patchy, tide was a tad high so only flat in the lulls. But nice 2km runs and it never got very choppy.

Used the 55cm board with 26@45 weedy and another go with the avalon 5.5, 4 cam.

Got the downhaul right today, wet the luff sleeve first, with my unground masts it makes a big difference. I'll give them a coat of something slippery, that should help.

The sail felt so much better, stable and slippery.

Started off with just a few kiters for company, but I was joined by Reg and Emery after and hour or so, then Slugger and Binny had a blast, when I left Alby hit the water.

You can see here there's 2 speed runs,  heading north to wards the end of Ward Pt, and heading South into Liptons bay. Best speed was at the end of Ward Pt, I think the wind was stronger here because there was a compression off PT Grey

Late start compared to everyone else after work, but nice to get out, realistically could've done with the 7.8m to help get through the many lulls.

Nice bit of fun.

I think some poo came out early on with the WT57, OD6.2 and Tribal Delta 20. I made the rare decision to head back to the car park and change something. The Tribal 27 WS seemed to grab a little weed while slogging but made for a much more relaxing sail (untill I almost sailed into the carpark).

Ran into Decrepit, Reg, Hardie+1, Slugger and Alby heading out near the end. Toofless Waricle was there in his chick magnet.

Peter, nice shots of muscular men going very fast and one very bad picture of a midget sinking!  The gybing Slugger (?) is particularly good.
