Illawong Beach. Wind all over the place. Underpowered for a lot of the time on the CA95, 6.5 Ezzy, so perservered for a while until changing up to the Fanatic 113 FSW. Still no alphas coming thru from KA72 for some reason. Out on my own with 2 kiters until right at the end of the tide.

Green Island.Iso 80 Tribal SW 25 E5 6.4 .

Today was a fizzer .The forecast looked amazing but the wind ,whilst strong early became more gusty & slowly dropped out at least during the sailable tide .

We tried at dawn but the reef flats were super chopped up from the Easterly so it was a bone crunching ride without much joy ...!!!

The late session ~ 12 had a fickle wind, lots of weed pads & a rapidly retreating tide so all in all not quite what we'd hoped for .

Always good to be on GI & always good to sail alongside Captn Morgan & his lovely wife but we'll have to wait till next time ...UndecidedFoot in mouth

Wind finally arrived but never enough going broad.  Couldn't have picked a worse time to do the naughty as it was a lull the entire run.  Great none the less to get out for a decent sail.

Green Island, QLD, AU

Fun day at the Island with Bindi, Cam and Toody. First session on the incoming tide just after 630am, then a little bump and jump wave fun with Toody, then the reef flats again on the falling tide.

Used Isonic 80 and 90 with 6.0 Overdrive, Kode 80 and 4.7 GatorCool

Green Island, QLD.

Was happy to get a few good runs in at the Island amongst the weed-bergs and the rapidly receding tide, both which made me pretty nervous. Obviously need to toughen up and steal a weed fin from Kelly. Always good to start the day with a pre-breakfast sail. A bit wild on the water but always worth the effort.

Futura 110, Gator 4.7, 34cm Weed brake (very effective)

Kurrimine Beach, QLD, AU

Camped down at Kurramine over the weekend. Had a great time -some sailing in the flat water and a bit down in the waves.  Sat the wind only reached 13 kn so only went landsailing. Sun we had about 14-17 kn. Sailed with Mandy, Sharron and Curl. Sun the wind picked up a bit more 17-20 kn bit cloudy but stayed dry all day. Only used the GPS on the Sun arvo when I remembered I had it. Used a 6.5m ezzy sail on a Starboard carve and Fire`s old 105 Naish board that Kel handed on to me -- thanks Kel, thanks Bob - I`ll look after it for you till you come back- I think it is my newest board !! Sorry I missed out on the sailing at the Dam, although sounds like it was better at Kurramine. Ed you might have to indistructable fiberglass like myself - you wont break any speed records but you will ahve more money in your pocket. I have sailed my old fiberglass windaction hard for 10 years and hope it will go for another 10 !!

Was keen for another quick blast this afternoon as i missed out on my invite to GI with the big kids..Decided to have a good look at my' 97lt Isonic' this morning as it was making some strange noises and i had  2 major' spin outs' on my last run home. didn't think to much of it at the time as i was getting a bit tired at the end of a fully powered up session in a very choppy sea...Didn't take long to find the problem..Almost the whole bottom of board is delaminated and the fin box has a big stress crack in it...My much loved Isonic is' TOTALY SHAGGED', And beyond repair..Words can not decribe how 'pissed off' i am... I did a full season on this board last year and had a couple of sails on it this season, and now it's ready for the wheelie bin..Not happy...My last three small boards i have owned have not gone the distance at all..101 Future broke in half after 2 seasons,101 Falcon just made one season before it was rebuilt and sold for' next to no money'..Now Isonic is completely dead in just over 1 season, wouldn't be able to give it away.. My Friend Andrew said the newer Isonic's are 40% stronger than the older ones..I might have to go looking for one.. so If anyone knows of a newer 97lt Isonic 2014 or 2015 that is looking for a good home let me know..Cheers Ed..

Not good news about the board Ed.

But Andrews info should make Snags happy, now he can hit 40% bigger fishUndecided.

Bugger Eddy Frown

The newer and stronger must be post 2012 because they were fish friendly Laughing You must be unlucky like me big fella as I've been down that road, I was told by one importer that 18 months for someone 84kg sailing in 12 to 20 was an acceptable life of a board and it was a freeride, yes I wasn't too bloody happy with that info Yell

Gaz, I also seem to have some issue with my alpha, but there was nothing too special about this session so I wont worry about it this time

Ed you might have to move to an indestructable fiberglass board like myself - you wont break any speed records but you will have more money in your pocket. I have sailed my old fiberglass windaction hard for 10 years and hope it will go for another 10 !!

Some impressive sailing by the FNQ Mob over the weekend, Well done everyone, shows the wind can be good when the rain lets up.
