Green Island, QLD, AU

First fun session back at Green since the lockdown, fast falling tide limited time on the water, but arms were starting to fail after so long away from decent wind anyway.

Used Isonic W63 and 80, Overdrive R8 6.2 and Drake DW 32Cool

Wow, wow, wow....Superfun, totally exhausted. On the Green with Kam and Kel. Tried so hard to keep up with the big kids, but they are in a class all to themselves. Seriously great to watch and follow. 20-25 in some patches, super rough to begin with but with a fast out going tide meaning there was limited TOW, but reasonably smooth down the speed strip.

Loved the Tribal Delta 18 during the last hr or so,but all to quickly the water had drained away to reveal the green lawn underneath. Was so sure I'd taken home an Alpha PB, burned into the turn, flipped the rig and ground to a halt on PB corner and took forever to get going again...Bugger. Sorry for the excitement guys, but it wasn't to be Frown.

Used: Motion, RRD Xfire90,30 Tribal S1 / Tribal Delta 16, 6.2 ODm1

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  Fun short arvo sesh with Tony the Truckie off the mud pit.

Wind filled in nicely, water conditions even rougher than yesterday.  Stayed in close working on the gybes...

Nice numbers from the lads sailing off GI! Cool

Green Island, QLD, AU. Wind SE-ESE 20-27 knots.Outgoing tide .Gear Jp 60 w E11 7m2 Tribal SW 29 then speed delta 18 .

Super rough today & when the tide retreated the flat water disappeared quickly ...agghhrrr .

Ran out of steam today .The post Covid 19 muscle atrophy kicked in around 40mins into the 1 hr ...Foot in mouth so then focussed on trying to go quick .

Sailed along side Billy L & Captain Kel .

Sun came out-looked amazing as we were leaving .CoolSmile

Good to see GI back and the trades kicking in. No post, forgot to turn on the GPS, but maiden voyage on the WT SB72, in 10-12 knts breeze with 8.5 Ezzy Lion to test the bottom end. Verdict... the laws of physics won out. Major dredgefest, pumping onto the plane briefly but 44cm fin just couldn't generate the lift at low speeds to keep going. Thinking a 46 or 48cm fin is needed for such occasions.
